RH Bill in the Philippines: Know more Talk Less!

It’s never too late to talk about this matter because it seemed like everybody doesn’t know a lot about it. How can the Roman Catholic Church and the general population get the gist of the importance of the said bill when even the legislators themselves know less?

When TRUTH and PRACTICALITY Slaps MISCONCEPTION

1.  Support RH Bill Support Immorality

What is more immoral than a priest raped a woman or got out of his vocation just to heed the call of his flesh? I apologize for being judgmental but I guess that was the bill was aching to say to those who judged it.  What is more immoral than killing your unborn child just because it is unwanted and worse just because poverty or merely irresponsible sexual activity? It’s better to prevent conception than to kill what’s already been conceived.

2.  RH Bill violates God’s teaching

God is the creator of all the living and none; He’s the author of life by that He only has the right to give and take back lives. Well, I think no one’s disagree with that. Who violates God’s teaching by practicing responsible parenthood? It was never stated in the bible to have sex, get pregnant then afterwards let your offspring suffer from poverty or worse kill the unwanted-unborn child.

3. Go to the world and multiply

It is just a phrase but great enough for the cons to hold on to. On one side, God is reasonable to say that during the time of Adam and Eve, for the reason that the Garden of Eden is too wide and quiet for just beasts and two human beings. For now, there were too many of us and the demand for food, employment and shelter is greater than what can be produced.  On the other hand, what is ought to be multiply is God’s word, love and greatness not children that famished.

4.  RH Bill is no less different with Abortion

Life begins at the point in time when a sperm is successfully united with the egg cell or the ovum. Nevertheless, there is no life before that even with just a protected intercourse.  Now, is there anybody could tell me how can an abortion happen when there’s no life at all?

5. Contraceptives will cause serious congenital abnormalities

Pharmaceutical companies is well regulated, there product is well researched and tested before being produced to the market. They are not stupid to produce contraceptives just to cause serious problem to the user. Contraceptive literally mean the prevention for conception or pregnancy. Only not the pregnant and those sexually active couple should use it and definitely not pregnant woman. All medication has advantages and disadvantages and it’s for the user to follow the guidelines. Condoms on the other hand is the most safe and effective contraceptive, it’s just an external barrier. So it’s wrong to say that a contraceptive would cause congenital abnormalities when its sole function is to prevent pregnancy.

6.  The bill encourages premarital sex to the youth

Oh come on! Ask the youth and you will know. The bill was drafted that includes the reason of sexual activity and promiscuity of the youth who have less knowledge about it. Ang hirap kasi sa mga Pilipno ay masyadong pretentious at Plastic. Let’s just accept the fact that this issue is ancient history. It maybe immoral but it’s the fact, so why just we protect the youth from committing abortion, ruining their future and the most immediate problem is the possible catching of the Sexually Transmitted Infections and HIV/AIDS. Just choose, Educate or Transmit?

7. Sex Education: Kindergarten will be taught of how is intercourse being done

I’m sorry folks but I assumed you think that way basing from the reactions of uninformed Filipinos that I’ve seen on the news. They know less and worse nothing about this bill. If the bill includes sex education to student on elementary and high school it doesn’t mean that they will be taught of steps and ways of how sexual intercourse is done. Even kindergarten is already tackling that matter even before the bill was suggested. The simple teaching of gender like male or female and its difference, not necessarily the sex organs, is part of the education. In elementary and secondary school, expected topic for sex education is the external and internal body parts of both male and female and this is truth and realistic. It should also include changes during the onset of puberty and it’s up for the teachers to incorporate their moral to their teaching to inform the student not to indulge themselves to sexual activities; and discuss the disadvantages of such.

8. The bill is a threat to conservative Filipino family

Many said that aside from premarital it also encourages extramarital sex. It means that the married couple is encouraged to have sex outside their marriage. Come on! This is also an ancient history. I am 22 years old and an unfortunate product of such extramarital affair. If there is a bill that time, my mother could have been educated about safe sex and will have access to contraceptives. I may haven't beeb beaten by my stepmother all years of my childhood life. What I am trying to point out is the truth that even before the suggestion of this bill, the truth already exists!

THE ONLY BAD ABOUT RH BILL

I think the only not-so-good thing about this bill is the proposed budget of 13.7 billion. It shouldn’t be condoms, pills and other form of contraceptives should be allotted for that budget it should include seminars and availability of health care facilities and personnel that can help the Filipino family and not just free gave away of these without education. Above all, nothing even cents should go to politician’s pockets.

I guess this was all. I am open for comments and suggestions.
